Michael has been active in international business for the past 17 years. Prior to founding 3V SourceOne, he was General Partner at iGlobe Partners, a technology venture capital firm. From 1996 to 1999, Michael was Executive Director at UOB Venture Management Pte Ltd (Singapore) where he led U.S. and China hi-tech investments. In 1998, he established the UOB Venture Technology Fund and pioneered a "Technology Triangle" strategy involving investment into North America, Greater China and ASEAN; this fund has maintained an active momentum. While at UOB VM, Michael also initiated the process of setting up a China technology fund with Chinese partners.
From 1995 to 1996, Michael served as Senior Vice President at H&Q Asia Pacific and was responsible for its China portfolio.
From 1992 through 1994, Michael was Managing Director of Prime Group ( China and Hong Kong) and involved in large-scale real estate development in Shanghai, China , where he acquired project financing experience and gained a profound understanding of the Chinese business environment.
In 1987, Michael co-founded venture-backed Knights Technology Inc., a Silicon Valley company devoted to integrated circuit design, verification and yield enhancement and served as CFO (until 1991) and a member of the Board of Directors (until 1996). From 1988 to 1990, he also acted as the Japan Business Manager and worked with top-tier Japanese electronic firms.
Between 1983 and 1987, Michael was Financial Planning Manager and Operations Accounting Manager at Ferranti Interdesign Inc. (an ASIC subsidiary of the British defense electronics conglomerate) in Northern California.
Michael received his MBA degree from the University of Chicago in 1983 and his BS in Forest Management from National Taiwan University in 1977. In between, he served in the Army of the Republic of China ( Taiwan ) as a platoon commander in the front under 24-hour alert and attended graduate school in Economics at National Taiwan University studying automobile and steel industries.
From 1989 to 1992, Michael served as the CFO and member of the Board of Directors of the Asian American Manufacturer's Association in Silicon Valley. |

Kim Seng brings with him 11 years of venture capital management and banking experience in addition to 5 years of operating experience in the telecommunications and semiconductors industries.
Kim Seng co-founded 3V Capital Pte Ltd in Singapore which subsequently merged with SourceOne Venture Management, LLC to form 3V SourceOne Capital. He is an alumnus of the U.S. Venture Capital Institute.
From 1995 to June 2000, he was the Principal Fund Manager of UOB Venture Investment II Ltd, a S$105 million VC fund managed by UOB Venture Management Pte Ltd in Singapore where he served as an Executive Director before he left the company. His past portfolio includes investments in information technology, electronics, life sciences and traditional industries in the Asia Pacific region, Greater China, and the U.S.A.
Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Kim Seng was an Assistant Vice President at United Overseas Bank in Singapore . He was involved in retail banking, electronic banking, trade banking and commercial banking. He was involved in credit and marketing of corporate banking facilities for corporate clients in the electronics and information technology industries.
In IT planning and development, he was involved in the management of large scale electronic banking network, nation-wide stored value smart-card project and EDI system. He was a member of Operation Committee of the Network for Electronic Transfer System (NETS), which owns and manages the EFTPOS network in Singapore . Kim Seng was also Chairman of the Retail Electronic Banking Committee of the Association of Banks in Singapore in 1991/1992.
From 1988 to 1990, Kim Seng headed the Product Integrity Section at Northern Telecom Asia and was responsible for the introduction of new telecommunications products (ISDN, digital communication systems and terminals, etc.) in South East Asia and Australia . Kim Seng began his career with Texas Instruments ("TI") Singapore as a systems engineer in Process Automation Design Center. While at TI, Kim Seng was awarded the Employee Performance Award.
Kim Seng holds a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Honors) from National University of Singapore. |

Jeffrey has more than 12 years of experience in various industries including life sciences, medical devices, semiconductors, investment management, property development, and even travel and leisure. His areas of expertise include financial planning and control, mergers and acquisitions, business development, strategic planning and investment management.
Jeffrey co-founded 3V Capital Pte Ltd (Singapore), a venture capital firm and the sister company of Source One Venture Management, LLC, before the merger to form 3V SourceOne Capital. He is the President of Allvic Investment Pte Ltd ( Singapore ), a private angel fund and management consulting company focusing on bio-tech private direct investments and Director of Plan- B Technologies Pte Ltd ( Singapore ), an incubator for information technology and telecommunications companies.
Jeffrey currently sits on the boards of several family owned real estate development companies in Malaysia , Hong Kong and China . He is also actively involved at the board level at a few medical devices and IT companies in Singapore and U.S.A. Jeffrey is also a founder and currently serves as the interim CFO of Erimos Pharmaceuticals.
Between January 1995 and June 1999, Jeffrey was CEO of Commonwealth Travel Services Corporation, a regional travel agent with annual sales in excess of US$100 million.
From 1992 to 1994, under family related business groups, Jeffrey was involved in two commercial real estate projects, Financial Square in Shanghai, China and Tasek Plaza & Tasek Office Complex in Johor Bahru, Malaysia . From 1990 to 1991, he managed the property investment portfolio in Silicon Valley and Greater Seattle area for Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (Real Estate Division). Prior to that, Jeffrey was on Eli Lilly & Company's Strategic Planning Team in the Medical Instrument Division. In addition, he was directly in charge of certain cost-down plans (sourcing of electronic components from Asia) and new technology implementation. Jeffrey was the pioneer project leader between 1989 and 1990 in converting the design and manufacturing process of LifePak, a series of defibrillators by Physio Control International Corp., then a subsidiary of Eli Lilly, from conventional PCB technology to surface mount technology.
Jeffrey graduated from National University of Singapore in 1986 with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (1st Class Honors). He was a Du Pont Scholar and was awarded the Shell Eastern Petroleum Book Prize in 1986. He obtained his MBA degree in Finance from Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley in 1988. He was elected to membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, the highest scholastic honor that a student in a school of business or management can achieve. He is a member of the CFA Institute and Singapore Society of Financial Analysts. He is also an alumnus of the U.S. Venture Capital Institute. |
