California Clean Tech Open

Mr Michael Wu, Managing Director of 3V SourceOne Capital based in the US, served as a judge for the Finals of this unique competition. Participating teams focussed solely on clean technology and were prepared to take their innovations to the marketplace.

It was organized by Acterra: Action for a Sustainable Earth, a nonprofit based in Palo Alto, California and supported by a diverse array of businesses, educational institutions, government leaders and private individuals. This competition was run by a group of volunteers including business professionals, scientists, environmentalists and entrepreneurs.

The Global Security Challenge

This is the first time that such event is held in Asia to find the most promising security technology start-up business in the world.

The finalists were selected from regional semi-finals in Washington, Munich and Singapore and the Grand Final was held in London.

Omeros Corporation announced that the Stanley Medical Research Institute (SMRI) will provide up to $9 million in equity and grant funding toward the development of Omeros’ proprietary drug candidate for the treatment of schizophrenia.
